Yesterday was for celebrating our 11 year old with traditions and making sweet memories together as a family:
Starting the day with birthday doughnuts!
Laser tag was the gift of the year!

We snuck in a sushi date while the kids were at school...
Happy "We've been parents for 11 years" Day!
Then we headed to BJ's for pizza and pazookies:
We each gave each other questions and laughed at "would you rather" answers and talked about sweet dreams for the future...
We also did affirmations for the birthday kid and my favorite part was watching Kit speak truth and life into his son with words and examples of the man we see Ryder becoming...
We headed home, snuggled up and watched "Miracle"...
What fun it was to be together and make these memories together!
We can't wait to celebrate more this weekend!

Last birthday, we were in the thick of the beginning of Covid and lockdowns and stay at home orders. We cancelled birthday plans and dealt with so much disappointment... This year felt like a breath of fresh air. This was the first time that they were IN a restaurant in over a year. We even got the announcement yesterday that the kids will return to full time school on April 28th! Things feel like we are in a different place than we were last year and I am so grateful!
