Our fire place room has quickly become one of our favorite places in our house.
It's right off the kitchen and the seating is really comfortable for lots of people. It looks over the playroom and we can have the kids occupied while we sit and talk, and we can still feel like we are all together! The grey chair has become Kit's favorite spot for quiet time and it fits an adult and both kids really well for reading time.
The wall above the grey chair has been a working project for over a year, and since it is still a work in progress, I decided to put together a wall hanging that could be flexible with the space.
I used these thick cardboard chalk banners:
I played with some different phrases and heights...
And this is what we came up with...
You will often find Ryder in this corner,
I think because it's Kit's favorite spot...
When we finish the project that we have planned for this space, the chalk board banners are going to get used for parties, but in the meantime, they feel like they finish off this room.
