Zion or Bust!

Today we are heading out to be with our family at a cabin in Zion National Park for a week! Last time we were in Zion we backpacked the Zion Narrows.  It was before kids and it was with our friends from college and we had the best time.  It was a once in a life time trip and I am so glad that we got to see things that we would otherwise not have been able to experience because we back packed and literally were in places where we had to swim with our water proof packs.  This will be a different trip for sure. 

We plan to have  a stop over in Las Vegas and then head to the house that is currently covered in about 1 foot of snow.  There really isn't cell reception so we are excited to unplug and just enjoy being together, doing day hikes, being in the snow, playing games, watching movies, eating lots of great food, and just having  a wonderful time away.  This will be our kids first time crossing the state line and we are excited for the adventure that is ahead of us!

Plus, Ryder got hiking boots.  To be honest the purchase was long over do.  He has been doing more and more outdoor things with Kit and now he really feels serious about being outside.
Kit's first pair of hiking boots when he was about rider's age were Hi-Tec and he feels like such a grown up with his real life hiking boots on.

 These are the EXACT same socks that Kit has.  
They are so sweet in Ryder's size!

I can't really handle how big he is looking these days! I just love this kid so much!

Ps. Ryder picked out a pair for his sister that have purple on them.  He picked them up and said, "Eden would love these, they are like mine and they have her favorite color on them!"♥
