Before and After: Our Downstairs Guest Bathroom

So the big project that we were able to tackle this last weekend was our guest bathroom.  Painting it, putting in a new vanity, sink, and hardware were all on the list.  We had redone the floor when we had moved in so pretty much this bathroom has had a complete overhaul since move in.
Here is the bathroom when we walked through our inspection before moving in:
Before:
It's primary function was to be used as a GIGANTIC litter box for all of her cats.
Once we moved in, it was cleaned and the floors were redone and it has been sitting like this for months:
I'm glad that someone was comfortable using it...
Way to go Woody!
So this weekend, we finally got it finished!
We painted it the same color as the kids room, and the upstairs bathrooms, the wall behind the fire place and the entry wall that you first see when you walk into our house.  Wistful Willow by Olympic at Lowes.  It's our favorite!
 Kit taking a break:
This man can pretty much make anything happen...
Seriously, he is the BEST.
I love watching them work together and figure out how to make things work and I see both of their minds just spinning with excitement when they figure it out, and they ALWAYS figure it out
Here it is:
After:

We still have some accessorizing to do and are looking for some cool art for the walls, but I can't tell you how much we love how it turned out!
Thank you so much Eric and Diane for helping us!
We appreciate you guys so much!♥♥

Time with family...

We had a very full weekend and I am not going to lie to you, I am pretty beat from all the fun that was had and the projects that were tackled.  We got to spend some time this weekend with Kit's parents!  We all love being together and the kids can not get enough of their grandparents (they have some spectacular ones.♥)  They just came down for a visit but man did we tackle lots of stuff!
On friday, they got to pick Ryder up from preschool with Kit, and Ryder was ELATED!  He took them on a tour of the school and his classroom and was beaming the entire time!
They helped our friends move and put some furniture together:
(Apparently Ryder felt like it was his job to over see his Grandi...)
Then we ran some errands for a HUGE house project that we finished (I will show you tomorrow...)
The kiddos got spoiled with fun:
Then we headed to our church for a "Small Nighter" where we watched Frozen and made Olaf crafts and ate tasty trail mix which contained York Peppermint Patty bites:
On Saturday we finished our big project and we could not be more thrilled how it came out, mainly because Kit has a great eye and our contractor is hands down the best ever! (Plus he makes a pretty amazing dad...)
And while we did this, Grandi took care of the kiddos:
From playing games, to doing doll house furniture, to reading LOTS of books, she made it possible for us to get one what we needed to get done!
(Thank you so much Diane!!!)
Eden loved that they had matching shirts!
By Sunday, this is how we all felt:
It was a GREAT few days and we are ready to tackle the week, as long as we have some coffee on hand!

Just like his dad...

Since the hunting trip, this has been the outfit of choice when he is not in school:
He wants to be JUST like his dad and it absolutely melts my heart♥.

coloring with my girl...

I could have also titled this post "Evidence why I won't quit my day job to become an artist..."♥
Eden LOVES to color.  She isn't into coloring books, she just wants a plain sheet of paper so that she can do whatever she wants.  The other day while Ryder was at school, Eden INSISTED on coloring time and "writing her name" with her markers.
She gets all the colors to herself...
So she started asking me to draw things and tell her a story...
"A princess, on a walk with her friendly dog, ready to have a picnic..."
The End
I will not quit my day job people, I promise...♥
Spending time one on one with this Little Miss is seriously delightful!

you win some, you buy some...

This weekend I decided to try some new stuff:
The kids LOVED this!  I put it over zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms, chicken, and onions and served that on rice.   It was a total win!
My excitement with getting semi creative in the kitchen dwindled, though...
The next night we ate In n' Out at our kitchen counter.
Whether it's a home cooked meal, or picking up an old favorite, how great it is to eat with people I love, hearing everything from the silliness to the serious... Gosh, it's moments like these that just make being a mom so spectacular...♥

How does your garden grow?

Remember the garden we planted over here? Well guess what?
The kids and I are SO EXCITED!  We officially have a window garden, as opposed to a metal container of dirt that was just sitting in our window.

Thanks Mia for sharing this kit with us!
It has been such a fun project to do together...♥

a little weekend away...

While Kit was just having the best time being here...
We decided to go hang out with our family for a little last minute get away in Redlands.
Playing in the pool with our cousins:
 Chocolate JoJos for the win!
 Her face says so much...
Going to the museum:
Kit is currently hunting for deer,
so this made Ryder feel really close to his dad.
And on Sunday we went to their church together:
This church community loves on my family in such incredible ways and I am so thankful that they get to be part of this amazing group of people!
My dad stayed in the class with the Little Miss.
(I never get pictures of my dad!!! He loves on us and cooks amazing meals for us...He is the best!)
I tackled other big projects around our house and got lots of things done, but it was so nice to  be away with family.
