our fireplace is finished!

Kit has done an incredible job on our fireplace.  From demolition to planning to building to tiling with the stone and painting, he did it all and it looks so good!  I am so proud of him!

Here is what Kit has been up to:

first there was LOTS of sanding, then priming and sanding and priming:

Then is was time for some coats of the white paint:

We went with slate stack stone for the face of the fireplace:

So all we needed was our helper:

We keep wondering what we will do with this room.  What furniture will go into it?  What will it primarily be used for?  What will we put on the walls? We don't know, so for now it remains the 
"dance-party/run-in-circles" room.
It probably gets the MOST use out of all of our rooms♥.
