This weekend, Ryder hit some really exciting milestones and we feel like our little guy grew up over night!
First: We are in the thick of potty training! Saturday afternoon, Rdyer asked to wear his big kid underwear and I jumped at the chance to capitalize on his interest. He has since been wearing only big kid underwear and going to the bathroom to go (or at least try) about every 15 minutes. We have had some accidents, but we have had even more triumphs and successes. He gets a sticker each time he goes in the toilet and he has saved them up to get a surprise of plastic ocean animals, which he loves.
(His underwear is in the theme of some of his favorite Pixar movies. I love watching how grown up he looks in them, even if they do have Monster's Inc. characters on them ♥.)
We are so proud of him for sticking with it and for being patient with the process.
Second: On Saturday, Kit found a pedal bike on Craig's list and guess who can ride it like a champion!?! Yep, our three year old! He can stop and start on his own, he can ride in a circle and he can balance like a PRO!
We had a little visit from Kit's parents over the weekend and it was REALLY special to watch Kit AND his dad help Ryder to ride his first bike!
Needless to say, it was a big weekend and I can't wait to see what he will do next!
