In truth, we got back last Monday, but when sometimes it takes a while to get back into the groove of things. How do you capture a trip like that? 5 countries. 14 days. 6 hotels. 16 cities explored. Over 1,500 photos taken and even more memories made.
For the trip, I have tried to keep documentation in travel journals, Chat books, and Instagram, knowing there is so much that I want to remember. So in this space, I thought I would take my favorite snapshot or two from each city/country to hep me stay organized...
Opatija, Croatia:
Hike to Veprinac, Croatia:Eden opted to not hike the 6 miles and stayed with Mia and Papa.Dinner at Roko back in Opatija, probably one of our favorite dinners on the trip:Zadar, Croatia:Split, Croatia:Bosnia: (A quick stop...)Dubrovnik, Croatia:Perast, Montenegro:Kotor, Montenegro:Pakovo Selo, Croatia: (Etnoland)Krka National Park in Lozovac, Croatia:Vodice, Croatia: The Adriatic:Zagreb, Croatia:Bled, Slovenia:One of our favorite meals on the trip was at this spot:He carried me the 99 steps:Ljubljana, Slovenia:Venice, Italy: (I could not narrow it down to just a few...)The trip was such a gift. When we think about what the highlights were, the one that kept coming to the top of the list was that we loved traveling with our kids. Watching them love traveling as much as we do was such a treasure. They never complained. They were flexible and ready for anything. They were engaged and present and savored every second of their first international adventure. We had SO MANY phenomenal moments and memories, but that was at the top of the list for SURE! We can't wait to travel again and make more family memories.❤︎
