And just like that...

...the school year has come to a close.

We now have a second and fourth grader...

They are so ready...

But first, summer, we are so glad that you are here!

Eden's End of the Year Party for First Grade

Yesterday was Eden's end of the year party.  Our first grade teacher loves to do it the day before the last day so that on the last day she can plan something special with the kiddos, just them...

Eden had SO much fun.  Baby girl is ALWAYS up for a party!

We got to give our teacher her gifts.  She is amazing!

They made graduation caps:

 And then took lots of pictures...

There was signing of out class shirts and yearbooks:

 We had a tasty pizza lunch:

 Then enjoyed a candy station!

I can't believer they are going to be second graders!

I can't handle how sweet she is :

 I will miss this woman!

 I'm thankful that I get to be part of these special memories!

A conversation shortly after we finished a tournament after our regular season:

Me: "Ryder, what was your favorite part of the season?"

(Without missing a beat)

Ryder: "All the time with Dad.  I know all dads can't do it, so it means even more that he does.  Oh, and learning to pitch and play catcher, but mostly time with Dad."

A Special Music Showcase...

Last week we got to attend Ryder's 3rd grade class music performance!

It was SO CUTE!

Kit and I first grabbed a date at Nektar!

 They were so stinking CUTE!

 I couldn't even handle it...

 The face of my children are my absolute favorite!

 These are the moments and I'm so thankful that we get to be part of them!

It does not go unnoticed or forgotten...

We had our first swim of the season:

And we were reminded that this freedom to live our lives with the simple pleasures to do things like swim in our community pool do not come without a cost.

As we are home with our family today, it does not go unnoticed or forgotten that this day is carved out by the countless sacrifices made from those that have given their lives so that we could live the life of freedom that we can so easily take for granted. With grateful hearts, we remember and we give our thanks...

Mother Daughter Tea 2019

On Sunday we got to attend the annual Mother/Daughter tea hosted by our most incredible friend Brooke!

She wears SO many hats and one if them is that she is an incredible wedding florist and is the absolute most AMAZING hostess. Her attention to detail is unlike anyone I have ever seen!
Her house is an old carriage house built in the late 1800s:

 Everyone brings an item to share...

 She and her mom set five tables of vintage dishes and linens:

 The kids had name cards and sweet butterflies on their cups:

 Even the drinks were detailed:

 We eat SO well...

 She lasted about 5 minutes in  the car until she was completely passed out...
