Today Kit left for a staff retreat and will get home on thursday afternoon. Last night we were making lists and organizing activities and gift books and finalizing details all while I was trying to finish up Ryder's birthday invitations and feed Ryder dinner and pack for our trip out to see my family. It felt like organized chaos, but it was nice to be doing it all together. At one point I stepped back and all over our little house there were piles and of things that needed to be done or packed and I just had to smile...
