In our family, we celebrate everyone's half birthday. (My sister and I are in our thirties and we still recognize the day...) Personally, it's a reason to celebrate and we love ANY reason to celebrate... Mom, you seriously spoil us...
We made pizzas, my sister made her famous chocolate chip cookies and there was a little candle in one, and my mom got us the book
"Spoon" by Amy Krouse Rosenthal
And what would a celebration would it be if there was no crown and photo shoot...
The only thing that would have made it better was if Kit had been there... We missed you...

We love you little man and we are so thankful and honored to be your parents... We love your smiles and laughter, we love how you watch so intently what is going on around you. It feels like you are constantly processing things with those big eyes. And then you will look at us as though to say, "Is that how it normally is?" We love watching each new phase that you enter. We feel like you are are so close to talking because of all the sounds you make with your voice and it feels like you are days away from crawling because you are constantly scooting and rolling everywhere... You are just like your dad, in that you like to be on the move. I can't hold it against you because it doesn't take long for your dad to say to me, "I just need to do something."
(Hence all of our house and building projects...)
You are just like your parents, if you are tired or hungry you get a little fussy, but if you are both, it's red alert. Again, you come by it honestly... who can blame you? You like to be held by us, and when someone else is holding you, you like to have us in your view at all times. You have just recently started putting your arms out for us. I have to say it's really sweet to see you know us. If you are fed and rested, you are WAY more likely to go to people than if you are not... That has been a learning curve for us, but we will get there. My mom says I was EXACTLY the same way. You love your Mia and Papa. We do face time with them on our iPhones and you just light up when you hear their voices and see their faces. It is so fun to watch. We will do face time with your dad while he is at work and you just think it is the greatest thing ever.
I work one day a week and on those days you are with your dad. He is so good with you. You guys go on walks, you do projects around the house, you make dinner, you roll all over the place. You both have a very special bond...
Little man, we care excited for all the years that we get to watch you grow.
We just couldn't love you more...
