Heading out!

 Tomorrow we are heading out to spend a week at one of our favorite places at the beach.

 Then we are coming home so that I can work and then head out to our other favorite place, Shaver Lake!  Last time we were here, we were evacuated from the Creek Fire.  We are SO excited to go back!

We will literally be going from beach to mountain and the kids are giddy... These are their favorite weeks of the year!  I am so excited for this time and all the memories and traditions that we get to share together!  

While the kids are away...

 The kids spent time with their Mia and Papa in Redlands at the end of last week and into the weekend.  That gave Kit and I some time together and so we all won!

We stayed local and had some fun time at the pool and eating favorite foods and visiting places for ideas for our backyard:

Then on Saturday, we took the entire day to road trip out to the desert that ended in Big Bear:

We grabbed breakfast:

So GOOD!

Then we drove and talked, and laughed, and dreamed... It was so good to just go and "get lost" together:

We got to see part of the Pacific Coast Trail:

Then we ended in Big Bear for a picnic lunch:

We ended the day with Indian food and watching Gladiator.

I love this man so much and I am so thankful that we had this time together!

It's too bad that they all don't adore each other... Thank you Mia and Papa for loving on our kiddos so that we could enjoy the time together.

 This week we got to meet up with friends at The Rinks in Irvine.

Eden loves roller skating and it was only the second time that Ryder had done it...  She very sweetly supported him onto the rink and encouraged him the entire time!

It was such a fun time together... I love having friends that we get to all do life with!

Our sweet neighbors came to hep us put the roof on so that Kit could just finish the detail work:

We couldn't be more excited about how the pergola turned out!

A big thank you to my Aunt Barb who gave us the outdoor furniture!

The next step is to get electrical for our bistro lights and to finish the edge of the paver pad.  And then maybe take a nap...❤︎
